“Every SAA® group ought to be fully self-supporting, declining outside contributions.”

— Sex Addicts Anonymous®, Seventh Tradition

We Are Grateful For Your Assistance

Thank you for contributing per the Seventh Tradition. We are here to serve you but we need your help to keep these services going. The Triangle Area Intergroup (TAI) provides many services including:

Support Your Local Meeting

In Person Meetings

The preferred method to support the TAI is to contribute at every meeting you attend, especially your home group. The treasurer of the group will then pay the rent and other expenses, and the amount above prudent reserve usually gets split between International Service Organization (ISO), Area 6, TAI, and the Retreat Scholarship Fund or the Retreat General Fund.

Virtual Meetings

It is vital that virtual meetings contribute especially as contributions have fallen off considerably since many meetings changed to virtual. After all, the Zoom accounts are not free. Neither is the website where virtual meetings are promoted and easily found. If your virtual meeting cannot identify a treasurer, we urge you to contribute as an individual using any of the methods described on this page.

All checks should be mailed directly to the TAI Treasurer and made out to Triangle Group Services or Area 6.

Individual Contributions

Triangle Area Intergroup (TAI) and Area 6

Your contributions are greatly appreciated. You can contribute to the TAI and Area 6 using the following methods. Feel free to contact the Treasurer if you have any questions about the various contribution options.

Mail-In Contributions

All checks should be mailed directly to the TAI Treasurer and made out to Triangle Group Services or Area 6. The treasurer will ensure that the funds are dispersed properly.

Bank Draft Contributions

Bank drafts are gaining in popularity. Most banks offer a bill-pay service that you can use to send the TAI a check regularly. Please send it to either the TAI Treasurer’s address or the TAI’s PO Box. All checks should be made out to Triangle Group Services or Area 6.

Please note that the P.O. Box is only checked once monthly.

Electronic Contributions

We recommend careful consideration before using electronic. They are expensive and usage fees reduce the amount we ultimately get. Unlike Electronic Contributions, checks mailed to the treasurer or revolving bank drafts do not involve processing fees. This means we get your full contribution.

If you prefer to contribute electronically, the TAI has elected to use Donorbox to handle all electronic transactions. The personal information that must be provided will remain in Donorbox’s care and no information of any kind is stored on this website. Any transaction details are governed by Donorbox’s Privacy Policies and is only available to the Triangle Area Intergroup Treasurer. Click on the link below to use Donorbox.

Step Retreat

In addition to the meetings, TAI, ISO, and Area 6, individuals are encouraged to consider supporting the Retreat. You can support the Retreat Scholarship Fund which provides financial assistance to members to attend Step Retreats or the Retreat General Fund which supports the planning and operating expenses for our bi-annual retreats.
